Kelton ISD’s FTC 9778 robotics team; Robotic Chinchillas participated in state UIL in Austin on Saturday the 20th of May. This event invited teams from all over Texas to participate. With the help of their alliance members from Bushland ISD, Kelton was able to bring home the State UIL Championship. This will be the first time that Kelton has won State UIL. This award would not have been possible if both teams didn’t show Gracious Professionalism toward each other. Both teams agreed that working together and playing off each others weaknesses and strengths, we were able to bring home the gold to the Panhandle. Kelton’s Robotic Chinchillas also won the Innovation Award for the most out of the box thinking for a robot.
